How to get to Hacienda Abraspungo
From Quito
The journey from Quito to Riobamba is approximately 210 kilometers along the Pan-American Highway South (E35) and takes between 3 hours 15 minutes and 3 hours 30 minutes by car. The route passes through Machachi, Latacunga, and Ambato, traveling along the famous "Avenue of the Volcanoes" with views of Cotopaxi, the Illinizas, and Chimborazo.
From Guayaquil
The distance from Guayaquil is approximately 230 kilometers via Pallatanga, with an estimated travel time of 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours by car. The journey offers one of the most impressive changes in landscape in Ecuador: the ascent from the warm coast to the cool climate of the Andean highlands.
From Cuenca
The trip from Cuenca is about 250 kilometers along the Pan-American Highway and takes between 3 hours 30 minutes and 4 hours. The route passes through Cañar and Alausí, an area with a strong Andean identity and high-altitude landscapes that accompany the entire journey.
By interprovincial bus
For those who prefer not to drive, there are frequent departures from the Quitumbe Bus Terminal in Quito and the Guayaquil Bus Terminal, all bound for the Riobamba Bus Terminal. Fares typically range from $5 to $18 depending on the route and the bus company chosen. From the Riobamba terminal to the hacienda, a taxi takes between 10 and 15 minutes.
